We said goodbye to Eileen on Friday; she took the Amtrak train back to NY. On Friday evening and Saturday morning we did lots of prep for our goodbye to DC party.

- Ack and Anne are long time sweeties who are on a new adventure. Ack, a professor at UW-Madison, is on sabbatical for 9 months. Anne, a folklorist who loves to explore new cultural settings, is along for the fun. --That was our description as of 9/07 when we were just starting our time in DC (see blog "ackandanne"). Now we're back in Madison on the grand adventure of life at home (see blog "ackanne1954").
